DROMEC Winches supplies winch systems to Royal Bodewes

Royal Bodewes is a leading, modern shipbuilder based in Hoogezand on the Winschoterdiep canal. For the latest RB5050 DWT Eco Trader for Ahlmark Shipping, hull number 830, DROMEC Winches has delivered the first major winch systems since the acquisition of POTOS Marine Equipment in Ten Boer.

This vessel was completed at the finishing site in Foxhol.

Anchor winches and mooring winch

DROMEC Winches supplied two electric anchor winches with 36 mm anchor chain, including the corresponding chain stoppers, and a mooring winch with a pulling force of 5,100 kg. The winches are electrically powered. The frequency-controlled drive system was developed and built in-house by DROMEC Winches. The winches were tested at the production site in Ten Boer and were inspected in the presence of, among others, Bureau Veritas.
